Refund & Cancellation Policy

How subscriptions, one-time purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds work — and how to get help.

This policy explains how purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds work on Buy My Agent, operated by BUYMYAGENT TECHNOLOGIES INC. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Because creators are independent suppliers and the merchant of record for their own sales, refund decisions rest with the creator, and Buy My Agent can facilitate a refund through Stripe at the creator's direction or where warranted. References to an “agent” include workflows and every other listing form, as defined in the Terms of Service — this policy applies regardless of the label a listing uses.

This policy covers everything you buy on the marketplace — both recurring subscriptions and one-time purchases. Paid Curated advisory sessions are not marketplace purchases — their cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms are set out in the Curated section of our Terms of Service, not this policy.

Two ways a paid listing can be sold

Every paid listing is sold in one of two ways, shown on the listing and again at checkout before you pay:

Free listings cost nothing and involve no charge at all. Prices are billed in Canadian dollars (CAD); any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Both kinds of paid sale are made by the creator as merchant of record, and Buy My Agent charges the creator its 10% marketplace fee on either kind — the fee is never added to your price.

Subscriptions renew automatically

When you subscribe you are charged the stated amount for the current period, and you are charged again at the start of each period (each month, or once every 12 months for an annual plan) until you cancel.

By subscribing you acknowledge that your subscription continues and renews automatically at the price and interval shown until you cancel, and you authorize these recurring charges to your payment method. You can cancel at any time online (see below), with no fee. Where the law in your state or province gives you specific automatic-renewal or cancellation rights, those rights apply.

One-time purchases do not renew

When a listing is sold as a one-time purchase you are charged once, at the price shown. There is no renewal, no recurring charge, and no cancellation step — there is nothing to cancel, so the cancellation and end-of-period rules below simply do not apply. Your access is recorded on your account and stays there.

A one-time purchase buys access to the listing as it was supplied to you. It is not a promise of future updates, ongoing support, hosting, or continued availability of the creator's systems unless the listing says so — a listing that promises ongoing value is required to be sold as a subscription instead. Access can still end if it is refunded in full, reversed through a chargeback, or suspended or removed under our policies (see below).

Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel at any time from your account (or the billing portal linked there). Cancellation stops future renewals and future charges. There is no cancellation fee and no phone call required — subscriptions bought online can be cancelled online. (One-time purchases have nothing to cancel; see above.)

Access after cancellation

When you cancel a subscription, you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for, unless your access is suspended or removed under our policies (for example a policy violation, a dispute, or the agent being taken down). A cancelled annual plan runs to the end of the prepaid year. The final period is not automatically pro-rated or refunded unless required by applicable law or the creator approves a refund.

Requesting a refund

To request a refund — on a subscription or a one-time purchase — use the Contact the creator option on the agent's page or from your account. Your message is relayed privately to the creator, who replies to your email. Please allow the creator up to 5 business days to respond.

If the creator does not respond within that window, or access was never delivered, the agent has been unavailable for an extended period, or the listing materially misrepresented what you received, contact us through our contact page and we'll help make it right — including facilitating a refund through Stripe where warranted. Refunds can take a few business days to appear on your statement.

What a refund does to your access

For a subscription, a refund of a past charge does not by itself cancel the subscription — cancel it from your account if you don't want it to renew — and your access follows the subscription as described above.

For a one-time purchase, a full refund ends your access: because you have been given all of your money back, the purchase is unwound and the access it granted is removed. A partial refund does not remove your access — you keep it, and only the refunded amount is returned. If you want a refund and expect to keep using the agent, say so when you contact the creator so you both understand what is being agreed.

Payments that are refunded automatically

Some charges are refunded automatically, with no action needed from you: if a payment can't be completed or is reversed as part of a security or eligibility check — for example your card's billing country isn't one we currently support — any amount charged is automatically refunded. This applies to both subscriptions and one-time purchases, and where a one-time charge is refunded in full the access it granted is not kept.

Chargebacks & disputes

If you don't recognize a charge or have a problem, please contact the creator or us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback with your card issuer may result in your access being suspended while the dispute is being investigated, whichever way you paid. If the dispute is decided in your favour and the money is returned to you, access ends: a disputed subscription may be cancelled, and a disputed one-time purchase is revoked. If the dispute is resolved in the creator's favour, access can be restored once we have confirmed the payment stands — contact us if it hasn't been. We handle disputes in line with Stripe's terms and applicable law.

Taxes on refunds

Where tax was charged on a purchase and that purchase is refunded, the applicable tax is refunded together with the refunded amount, consistent with the tax rules that apply. (Tax collection is not currently enabled; this describes how refunds will treat tax once it is.)

Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits any cancellation, refund, subscription, or consumer-protection right that cannot be waived under applicable law. If the law in your location gives you stronger cancellation or refund rights than this policy, those rights apply.
