Is it safe to buy AI agents?
Buying an AI agent is safe when the marketplace reviews every listing before it goes live, processes payment through a trusted provider, and is transparent about what the agent can access and what it does not do. On Buy My Agent, listings are human-reviewed, checkout runs on Stripe, your conversations happen on the agent's platform (not on us), and your email is never shared with a creator unless you choose to share it.
What a careful subscriber checks
- Is the listing reviewed, or is it an open dump of anyone's prompts?
- Does it say clearly what the agent does NOT do?
- Where do your conversations and data actually go?
- Can you cancel easily, and is there a refund path?
Autonomous agents need extra care
An autonomous agent can act on your files, browser, or accounts. Run one in an isolated environment, start with low-risk permissions, and review what it's allowed to do before you hand it anything sensitive. A good listing tells you exactly what access it needs.

Can a creator see my conversations?
No. Your chats happen on the agent's platform (e.g. your own ChatGPT/Claude account or the creator's chosen platform), not on Buy My Agent — we never see your conversations.
What if an agent doesn't work as described?
Message the creator privately for support or a refund, and you can report a listing. Creators are the merchant of record; the Refund & Cancellation Policy covers the escalation path.
